Meatopia Texas Comes to Pearl November 2–3
Time magazine’s Josh Ozersky’s carnivorous creation “Meatopia” will come to the Pearl in San Antonio, October 2-3, 2013. Meatopia is a world-class culinary event held annually in N.Y. City. 32 Notable chefs from around the country will be bending live flames to their bidding as they prepare all manner of meats in this carnivorous carnival.
Meatopia will host multiple events in various venues throughout Pearl, including live music, lots of meat, beer and aged spirits. Saturday (Beefsteak) boasts that “Tim Byres from Smoke in Dallas, The Granary’s Tim Rattray and Mike Toscano from Perla in New York City will collaborate to grill some of the rarest, most celebrated ultra-prime beef in the world”. While Sunday (Meatopia), continues the revelry with chefs from around Texas and the U.S. cooking beef, pork, veal, chicken, duck, quail, bison and more.
